Project Overview
In 2009, Machs supplied a new generation of FRP molded gratings, handrails, stair treads, and support structures for the Jebel Ali Port upgrade project in Dubai — one of the world’s largest man-made harbors. The project replaced corroded steel platforms with lightweight and corrosion-resistant FRP materials to improve durability and reduce long-term maintenance costs under extreme coastal conditions.
All FRP components were customized to meet marine-grade performance standards, featuring high load capacity, non-slip surfaces, and superior resistance to salt, UV, and chemical exposure. This upgrade not only enhanced safety and efficiency at the port but also marked an early milestone in adopting FRP solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects across the Middle East.
