We mould grating, pultrude profiles and assemble FRP structures in our own plant, and confirm size, resin and load against your drawing before we quote.
Machs fiberglass grating (FRP grating) is an industrial walking surface that does not rust or conduct electricity, made either as one-piece molded panels or as directional pultruded panels and fixed with matching grating clips. The right type depends on support layout, traffic and environment. Machs, a fiberglass grating manufacturer, makes both in the same factory: molded panels from 13 to 60 mm deep and pultruded panels up to about 12 m long.
Choose molded grating when an interconnected grid suits the panel plan and cutout arrangement. Verify actual capacity against the selected panel geometry and support conditions rather than assuming all meshes behave alike.

Assembled from continuous profiles with main bearing bars
Pultruded Panels for Directional Spans
Choose pultruded grating when the floor spans in one main direction. Its primary bearing bars run along the span, so coordinate bar direction with the supporting frame and use load data for the exact bar profile, spacing and span.

Neither route removes the need for product-specific load data.
Floor System
The Panel Is Part of a System
A grating floor works as a system, not as loose panels. Include these items in the enquiry along with panel quantities.

One Order
Machs can supply grating panels together with clips and FRP support profiles, so one order covers the panels and their fixing components.
Walking Surface and Exposure
Evaluate the walking surface and the environment together: opening size, surface texture, drainage, and cleaning requirements.

Cleaning Requirements
Resin suitability depends on the actual chemicals and temperature.
Fire and slip requirements need evidence for the selected product configuration.
01
Choose Through the Floor Plan
Start with the support drawing, not a preferred panel thickness. Then work in this order:
Mark clear spans, removable areas and equipment openings
Compare candidate molded and pultruded panels against the same loading and deflection requirements
Resolve any additional framing before comparing material quantities
02
Separate Span from Panel Size
Panel length and clear span are different dimensions. Panel length includes the portions resting on supports; clear span is the unsupported gap. Using one in place of the other can select the wrong load-table entry, so record both, plus bearing length and support arrangement, on the panel schedule.
03
Plan for Feet, Wheels and Dropped Objects
Pedestrian floors and wheeled-equipment floors are different duties. State every use in the enquiry:
Foot TrafficOpening size affects footwear
WheelsContact areas create concentrated loads
Dropped ObjectsOpening size affects what can fall through
Do not assume a general walkway rating covers every traffic condition.
04
Use a Realistic Maintenance Plan
Drainage openings do not remove the need for cleaning. Inspect regularly for debris, damaged surface texture, loose clips, and changes around cutouts. Define inspection access and cleaning methods compatible with the selected resin and surface finish.

Calculate Purchasing Quantities from the Layout
Gross aream²Finished panelspcs
Calculate purchasing quantities from finished panels, not gross area. Review cutting yield, orientation, supports and spare panels, because two quotations for the same gross area can contain different amounts of usable flooring. For bulk orders, Machs can cut panels to the agreed layout before shipment, reducing offcuts on site.
Made to Order
Custom FRP Grating
Machs makes custom FRP grating in its own factory, so panels can be built and cut around your floor plan rather than a stock size.
Every order can include unit weight, load data and test reports for the exact panel supplied.
