G Clip
No drilling- Your situation
- Fix panels to a steel beam without drilling or welding
- How it works
- One-piece assembly of bolt, lower clamp and nut; tightened from above with hand tools
We make the clips that hold our grating in place, in 316 or 304 stainless steel and galvanised steel, sized to the bar height and mesh of each panel. Order them with the grating and they arrive counted and packed for each area, so no one on site has to source fixings separately.
The right clip depends on how the panel sits on its support. Use the selector below, then check the quantity rule.

Pick the situation that matches how your panel sits on its support.

Grating type matters. Moulded grating needs clips shaped for its square mesh.Pultruded grating needs clips that follow its straight load bars. Tell us which grating you have and we will send the matching clip.
The grating will outlast a clip in the wrong metal. Match the clip to the harshest condition on the platform, not the average one.

Chemical plants, wastewater, marine and coastal sites

General industrial and indoor areas without chlorides

Dry, low-corrosion areas where cost comes first
| Material | Use it for |
|---|---|
| 316 stainless steel | Chemical plants, wastewater, marine and coastal sites |
| 304 stainless steel | General industrial and indoor areas without chlorides |
| Galvanised carbon steel | Dry, low-corrosion areas where cost comes first |
Two rules set the base count. Enter your panel to get the number.
Count along every support under the panel.
Add clips at corners, panel joints and anywhere loads, wind or vibration are high.
Example: a 1,220 × 3,660 mm panel resting on four supports needs two clips on each support, one at each edge: eight clips in total.

Base count from the 1.2 m rule. Add clips at corners, joints and high-load areas.
Four checks that keep the clips tight.

Tighten to the recommended torque; over-tightening cracks the bars, especially on pultruded grating.
Fix every corner and every panel joint first, then fill in along the supports.
Make sure the panel bears fully on the support before clipping; a rocking panel loosens its clips.
Recheck tightness during routine inspections and replace damaged clips straight away.
Clips keep working loose? The span is usually too long or the supports are uneven. Fix the cause, not just the clip.

Clips, bolts and nuts packed together in boxes, labelled by area.
Clip sizes matched to the bar height of each panel in the order.
Custom clips made to drawing for special beams or edge details.
Clips can also be ordered on their own for existing grating: send the bar height, mesh and support detail.
Not with G clips, which clamp onto the beam flange. M clips are bolted through the support, so they need a drilled hole.
Our clips are sized for our own panels. For other grating, send the bar height and spacing and we will confirm whether a standard clip fits or make one to suit.
Counted from your panel layout and packed by area, ready for site.
