he load-bearing capacity of the FRP grating is closely related to its thickness. The load-bearing capacity of the 50mm thickness grating is about 6 tons, and the load-bearing capacity of the 65mm thickness grating is about 9 tons. High load-bearing capacity heavy duty FRP grating is required by large-scale construction sites, offshore oil platforms, and vehicular traffic.
The heavy duty FRP molded grating we provide includes square mesh grating and rectangular mesh grating(SuperSpan). The square mesh heavy duty grating has bidirectional loading, which helps the installation of grating and the uniform stress of supporting structure, and the bearing capacity is also enhanced. The SuperSpan design maintains a high resin/glass ratio, but is approximately 90% harder than the ordinary rectangular mesh molded grating of the same thickness. It provides a solution that can extend the application range of molded gratings to applications that require or expect a larger span.
The heavy duty FRP pultruded grating is designed for applications requiring heavier loads on the basis of long spans. It is engineered for vehicular traffic(up to Standard Truck formerly H20) or high and very long spans. And it is especially used to replace steel gratings in large spans. In addition, the design of our heavy duty FRP grating also complies with ADA.
