Project Overview
Located at Sohar Port and Freezone in Oman, this project focused on upgrading the industrial handrail system for a large oil and chemical storage facility. The existing steel railings had suffered severe corrosion due to constant exposure to humidity, salt air, and chemical vapors. In 2011, Machs supplied a reinforced FRP handrail system to replace the old metal structure, significantly improving durability and safety in the coastal environment.
The new FRP handrail system was designed to meet industrial safety standards while providing excellent resistance to corrosion, UV, and chemical exposure. Its lightweight structure reduced installation effort and eliminated the need for ongoing painting or rust treatment, ensuring a long service life with minimal maintenance.
